It looks as though Victorian Freshwater photographer, Julia Margaret Cameron, has an Island contender in the race for the next face on the back of the next £20 note.
Edana Minghella, sister of the late Anthony Minghella, tweeted today that her brother was included in the list of nominations.

Anthony is dear to many people’s hearts on the Isle of Wight and beyond for his Oscar-winning work as a film director.
Over 500 valid nominations
A whopping 592 nominations of visual artists will now be considered by the judges and shortlisted in September.
The document reads,
The list below contains the nominations from the public excluding those who are still living or who CLEARLY fall outside of the field of visual arts. A number of names have been included whose eligibility will be considered more carefully by the Banknote Character Advisory Committee before it starts to shortlist the characters in September.
