When Isle of Wight Studio Glass moved out of their previous home in the wonderful depths of St Lawrence in 2013, many wondered what would become of the tranquil spot visited by so many people over the decades.
OnTheWight were pleased to hear last year that the premises have not been left empty. Thanks to the hard work of Amy Beushaw and the continuous support from family, friends and locals to the area, they’re now home to some of the most talented and recognised Isle of Wight artists.
Debut Summer Exhibition
Next week, the resident artists (full list here) at Binnel Studios will be opening their workshops and studios to the public for their debut Summer Exhibition.
Accompanied by three guest artists, it’s promises to be an exciting combination of huge prestige.
Where and when
The exhibition is open between 2pm – 6pm on Saturday 29th August, and then 11am – 4pm on Sunday and Monday (30th & 31st August).
If you are unfamiliar with St Lawrence, from Ventnor continue on the A3055 past Ventnor Botanic Garden until you reach Old Park Road (on your left) and then follow the signs for Binnel Studios.
Entry is free, but don’t forget to take your cheque book because you might just fall in love with what you see.
