Phase two of an Isle of Wight housing development has been unveiled.
Filling in the gap on Place Road, between The Range and the new Meadow View Park development, on the edge of Gurnard, Bourne Developments is seeking permission to build more houses.
Plans for 31 new homes
In a new application submitted to the Isle of Wight council’s planning department, the Dorset-based developer is hoping to build 31 properties.
Earlier this year, the first phase of 14 houses was approved for the site, meaning if this second application is successful outline permission will stand for 45 houses, in a range of two, three and four-bed properties.
Affordable scheme
In the second phase, 11 of the houses could either be affordably rented or able to buy through an affordable scheme.
The remaining could go on the open market.
Seeking permission for access and layout
The outline plans are only seeking permission for the access to and layout of the site, so further details like the scale, appearance and landscaping will all be determined in another application.
The 1.3-hectare grassland site stands next to an overgrown and disused historic poultry farm, on which phase one will be built.

The public consultation runs until 18th September.
