Back at the tail-end of February, VB covered the £1 million pounds of council budget that the ruling Conservative group have put aside in 2012/3, just preparing for the Waste contract.
Today, we’ve learnt how some of this will be spent.
Half of it will go on ‘advisors’. The council say the “maximum spend” on these will be Legal £120k, Financial £190k and Technical £190k.
Delegated Decision notice
Those amounts quoted are only for a part year’s worth of work, as the financial year has already started.
Further figures are revealed in the Delegated Decision notice (when we get to find out that a decision has been made by a Cabinet member, without the interference of it being discussed in public first).
To prepare the “production of the Outline Business Case”, they estimate costs will be £100,000.
Full details of what has been decided are embedded below for your convenience.
Update 11.05.12: Further to the council advising VB that the waste contract is a PPP not PFI, any references to PFI have been removed from this article.
