£7,500 raised in 24 hours to give Isle of Wight dancer ‘the best send off’

The dance community on the Isle of Wight are mourning the loss of one of their talented and much-loved members.

Starlight Academy in Newport have launched a fundraiser to help Tayla’s family give her “the best send off”.

A whopping £7,500 has already been raised in just 24 hours.

“She loved to make people laugh”
The organiser of the appeal says,

“Tay loved to help the younger children and assist in dance classes, she loved to make people laugh, she was fearless and would always be the first to try any challenging dance moves.”

Her organs helped save seven young children’s lives
The GoFundMe page also includes an update that explains,

“Tayla’s family also want everyone to know how incredibly brave she was and proud of her they are. By choosing to donate her organs, Tayla has gone on to save seven young children’s lives.

“We know she would have loved that she had been able to do this.”

The aim of the GoFundMe appeal is to support Tayla’s family “through this unimaginable time”.

Any funds left over from the funeral and celebration of life party will go to the paediatric intensive care unit at Southampton General Hospital.
