On the fourth anniversary of when a handful of guerilla gardeners first entered the former hospital grounds to clear the overgrowth, the Friends of Frank James welcomed visitors to the grounds.
Well done to all the volunteers who have carried out back-breaking work over the last three years to tidy and secure the site of the former Hospital in East Cowes.
This is quite a coup for the Friends of Frank James, not to mention the Isle of Wight. It's certain to shine a spotlight on the years of neglect of the important landmark. Well done to all involved for making it happen.
Friends of Frank James were less than happy to see one council hopeful seemingly imply in his election leaflet that work had only started on the former hospital after he'd raised questions at a town council meeting.
Work at the former Frank James Hospital is delayed again, so there'll be another Big Gathering on Sunday 11th December, with interviews being filmed by David George.
