A special ‘£10 for 10 Years Raffle’ announced by Ventnor Exchange for anniversary

As OnTheWight reported last week, later in the month sees the tenth anniversary of Ventnor Exchange.

This inspirational cultural hub is the brainchild of a bunch of young Ventnorians, who set out to create a permanent home for Ventnor Fringe Festival.

Macaulay: A mission to create cultural experiences available for all
Co-Director Mhairi Macaulay explains the transformation of the former Post Office,

“Today Ventnor Exchange is a thriving hub of workshops, clubs, socials, a record store, a performance space and co-working space.

“The organisation also reaches out across the whole Island with a mission to create cultural experiences available for all.”

Funds invested back into the CIC
Ventnor Exchange is a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) so all funds generated are invested back into creating more cultural experiences and opportunities.

Over the past ten years, the team has gradually gradually refurbished the building on Church Street, hosted hundreds of events in Ventnor and around the Island, instigated and invited numerous creative clubs and groups, commissioned new works, as well as operating as a cafe and craft beer bar open seven days a week.
