Cowes Week Limited is delighted to announce that the world’s best-known sailing regatta has signed Aastra as a new official supplier.
Aastra is a leading global enterprise communications provider and will be supplying Cowes Week with VoIP telephone handsets.
This partnership has come about through Aastra’s relationship with Wightcable Ltd, Cowes Week’s official telecommunications sponsor who already provides Cowes Week with vital infrastructure support throughout the regatta ensuring the smooth running of this world-class event.
VoIP-tastic
The joint collaboration of Aastra and Wightcable will now further streamline Cowes Week’s operations through the implementation of VoIP telephony.
“Cowes Week attracts more than 100,000 spectators, over 8,000 competitors and up to 1,000 boats racing in over 40 different classes,” says Stuart Quarrie, CEO, Cowes Week Limited. “The infrastructure to run the event is scaled-up significantly during the regatta and relies on trusted technology suppliers throughout the week. We’re delighted to welcome Aastra onboard to help implement this vital communication network.”
“We’re thrilled to be part of Cowes Week this year, says Deborah Hage, Head of UK Marketing, Aastra. “Cowes Week wanted to reduce its costs whilst enhancing its telephony operation, and we’re confident our VoIP telephone handsets will help them do just that through the Wightcable hosted VoIP service.”
