Islander, Asa Singleton, was born with genetic disease, Neurofibromatosis 2 (NF2).
This disease affects 1 in 40,000 people and is, as yet, incurable and potentially life-threatening.
Despite all the condition threw at him, 100s of operations over his short life, Asa always remained positive and a true inspiration.
He sadly passed away on 28th January 2009.
