This Isle of Wight-based charity, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, have launched new ambitions to help change the lives of hundreds more young people after cancer
The mammoth cycle challenge has raised over £30,000 for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, a national charity that supports young people aged 8-24 in rebuilding their confidence after cancer.
On Sunday, battling stormy weather and gusts of up to 30 knots, 49 brave runners from local charity team, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, joined 25,000 others to run ten wild miles around Portsmouth Historic Dockyard as part of the Great South Run.
Just after 4am this morning, 30 year old Paul Berry from Ventnor set off on his round the Island rowing challenge. He's raising money for two vital charities and as he rows for 18 hours around the Isle of Wight would like to raise as much money as possible for them.
The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust receives all entry fees to this event which offers mountain bikers and runners a variety of night trails ranging from 5km – 20km distances for runners, and 5km – 35km for the mountain bikers.
