The Isle of Wight College, which will cease A-level provision this year, saw the highest A-level results in the state sector. There's been great improvement for Sandown Bay Academy too.
All proceeds from the fundraising ball at Lakeside Hotel will go to Isle of Wight charity, MAD-Aid, who support disabled children and adults in the Republic of Moldova, one of the poorest countries in Europe.
This is very good news for the staff, pupils and parents. Ofsted have seen a dramatic improvement in the culture of the school and can see it's well on the way to becoming a 'Good' school. Well done to all involved.
The trip was an exciting opportunity to see history come alive and to visit some of the historical sites the students have learnt about as part of their respective GCSE and A-Level studies.
