The council say there are around 2,655 people over the age of 65 living with dementia on the Isle of Wight and it's thought this will increase to 3,920 by 2030
This new service will be providing support to those living with hearing loss, sight loss or anyone living with any level of loss of both of these senses
Newport and Carisbrooke Community Council say the rise will go towards new projects including celebrations for the Queen’s platinum jubilee, a parking pilot, play equipment for Hookes Way and a dedicated planning enforcement officer
The announcement was made following Saturday's AGM. Other events will take place throughout the year building towards a main Pride event in 2020. Cllr Love addresses the homophobic comments made on social media.
