Tuesday night saw the very first Rubble Club event - organised by Chalkpit Records and opening the Ventnor Fringe Festival - take place at a secret venue. It went down a storm and more are planned for later in the year.

Isle of Wight band Plastic Mermaids are Douglas Richards, Jamie Richards, Chris Jones, Tom Farren and Chris Newnham. Their debut single was described by Q Magazine as containing “some of the most creatively deployed panning heard all year.”
