The Isle of Wight council is hoping to attract an estimated £322.25m of investment in 17 ‘key opportunities’ across the Island to help stimulate economic growth
A new Interchange at Ryde Gateway, where bus, hover, train and catamaran meet gained planning approval in 2006.
It included an iconic, landmark interchange building, however, budgetary changes (due to the financial crisis in 2008) contributed to the project going no further.
A chance to reignite part of the plans arose in 2020 and work is due to begin in early 2021.
