Six year old Sophie was diagnosed with a brain tumour two months before her fifth birthday in June 2012. On hearing the news, Islanders set about organising fundraising events to raise funds for KissyPuppy, the Sophie Rolf Fund.
Despite ongoing treatment, Sophie’s parents received the shattering news in August 2013 that the brain tumour had grown. Sadly she passed away on 25th November 2013.
Sophie touched the hearts of many Islanders with her cheerful and brave approach to life and her legacy will live on through KissyPuppy, which raises money to help other children with serious or terminal illnesses.
