The decision to spend the estimated £175,000-£200,000 on a 'mend and make do' option for Totland to Colwell seawall has been delayed for another month.
The President of the Ramblers will be joining the celebratory walk on the new Totland seawall path on Sunday afternoon. All are welcome to join in the celebrations.
Kate Ashbrook believes failure of the council to reinstate the coastal path at Totland would be a severe blow to the Island’s economy and to the enjoyment of its residents and visitors.
Petitioners will have five minutes to make their case and a further 18 minutes of discussion and debate by councillors will take place to consider the Totland landslide.
The issues surrounding the landslip in Totland are complex, emotive and have an impact on businesses, tourism and the residents. All were discussed at last night's Scrutiny Committee.
