Academy’s sports success: Cowes Enterprise College earns School Games Gold Mark

Cowes Enterprise College, which is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), is delighted that the academy has been awarded the prestigious School Games Gold Mark for the 2022/23 academic year.

This accolade, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, is a Government-led award scheme that recognises schools for their dedication to promoting competition and sports development within their institution and the wider community.

Fostering a culture of sportsmanship
Achieving the School Games Gold Mark is a testament to Cowes Enterprise College’s commitment to fostering a culture of sportsmanship and encouraging active participation among its students.

Throughout the year, the college has excelled in various sporting disciplines, including football, netball, rugby, basketball, badminton, athletics, cross country, equestrian, and rounders.

The award recognises not only the achievements of the students, but also the invaluable contributions of the young volunteers, leaders, and officials who have made the school’s competitions possible.

Cowes Enterprise College has been successful in meeting the criteria for participation, competition, workforce, and clubs, demonstrating its commitment to providing a well-rounded and inclusive sports program.
