Acoustic Originals returns next week

Quay Arts’ new season of Acoustic Originals begins on Monday 24 September in the Quay Arts Café Bar and we’re off to a jolly fine start with a suitably eclectic line-up of songwriters brimming with talent, performing their very own original creations just for you.

Beano
Fast becoming regulars on the local scene, this accomplished blues duo has a cache of great, original songs tucked away and we’re delighted they’ll be performing some of them for us. Next time you hear them in a pub you’ll be able to request an original.

Jazmine Heath
At just 15 you might think Jazmine is a youthful performer but she was singing before she could talk, wrote her first song ‘Hummingbird’ at the age of 6 and now has about 40 songs under her belt! We met her at Rob da Bank’s Music Club here at Quay Arts and were so impressed we had to ask her to come and show you what she can do.

Tim Holehouse
Edinburgh-born Tim is a traveler, a fact which is abundantly evidenced by the extensive list of tour dates on this website! He plays music for music’s sake and says he lives for adventure, creativity and people. Expect reflective, honest song-writing and accomplished, bluesy guitar from this archetypal journeyman.

Charming
Influenced by the likes of Mumford and Sons, Noah and the Whale and Seth Lakeman, Charming is a young, alternative folk 4-piece whose infectious songwriting is already making a considerable impact on the local scene. Their song ‘Broken Doors’ is blissful with their YouTube acoustic version being a particular favourite.

Angelina Grimshaw
Undeniably a mainstay of the local music scene and with very good reason; Angelina’s exceptional songwriting and heavenly vocals are irresistibly seductive. Inevitably attracting support from the very finest musicians her performances are consistently a pleasure to witness.

Doors and bar open from 7pm and performances begin from 8pm. It’s FREE to get in and, what’s more, it’s Monday.
