A new pharmacy is set to open in East Cowes, taking over the former Jhoots Pharmacy Practice premises.
Temporary signs have appeared above the shop window, with the new occupant expected to open its doors today (Monday).
Allied Pharmacy moves in
Allied Pharmacy has taken on the site as its new tenants, and reports suggest the company will also be opening a branch in Cowes.
East Cowes councillor Karl Love said he hopes the new provider will deliver for local residents, adding,
“I hope they are going to provide a high quality service in our community.”
Councillor Love noted that improvement on the previous Jhoots service would be needed, saying,
“Only time will tell, but a big improvement is required from the previous Jhoots practice.”
Praise for Regent Pharmacy
Councillor Love also took the opportunity to thank staff at Regent Pharmacy, who stepped up to serve the community following the Jhoots closure. He said,
“I wanted to thank the staff at Regent Pharmacy for rising to the challenge of the Jhoots closure and providing a high-quality service under a huge pressure.
“Very well done to all Regent Pharmacy staff.”
