The spoof Twitter account @AndrewTurnerMP has been hit with a suspension order by Twitter.
The jokey account, that has been running since August 2012 and focused a lot of its Tweets around how Andrew Turner was a vampire, disappeared mysteriously late this afternoon.
The Isle of Wight MP, Andrew Turner, recently discovered Twitter, finally signing up for an account.
Andrew Turner’s office: “Nothing to do with us!”
We contacted Andrew Turner’s office at around 6pm. We asked if anyone from his office contacted Twitter about the @andrewturnermp account, in an attempt to get it suspended.
The answer came back early the next morning saying, “Nothing to do with us!”
A ‘Craciun fericit’ too far?
There’s been some speculation on Twitter that it might have been the Christmas Card that the account put out that might have pushed it over the edge. The photo-montage, clearly not official, as it was playing on the Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball video, featured the greeting ‘Craciun fericit’, or Merry Christmas in Romanian.
