Appeal To Identify Driver After Collision

Google MapsPolice are investigating a report of a road traffic collision on the Isle of Wight where it’s alleged a motorist drove away without leaving his details.

A Ford Fiesta was stationary at the junction between Blackwater Road and Blackwater Hollow at 3.30pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2011.

Minor head injury for stationary driver
A black car collided with the rear of the Fiesta at the junction. The 37-year-old woman driving the Ford received a minor head injury.

It’s alleged the driver of the black car drove away from the scene along the main road in the direction of Newport.

Description of driver
The man was described as:

> Asian appearance
> 5 ft 8 – 5 ft 9 ins tall
> Very slim build
> Thick black hair
> English accent
> Wearing dark clothes

The collision took place at the junction of a busy main road where it’s believed several motorists and vehicles, including a bus, went past at the time.
