Naturezones in Blackwater hosted a People’s Emergency Briefing on Saturday 5th September 2026.
Founder of the wildlife field study centre, Angela Hewitt, told OnTheWight,
“We had a full house with just over 40 people attending the briefing.
“It was totally non political but we were pleased that Martin Bower, Councillor for Pan attended.
“We were disappointed that Richard Quigley MP didn’t respond to our invite, but hope he will attend a briefing if he hasn’t already done so.
Discussion follows the screening
Angela said,
“The film ended with a 1 minute silence to digest what we had all watched.
“This was followed by a discussion where everyone was invited to contribute.”
“It became a vibrant discussion with lots of positive suggestions.”
She added,
“One of the main further actions was for everyone to lobby their MP and demand a National Screening on Prime time TV.”
