Ferry

BBC couldn’t get to the Island to do live TV chat about fixed link – all the ferries were full!

One of those spearheading the campaign for a Solent Tunnel fixed link, Carl Feeny, shared the following message on Facebook this morning.

How’s this for irony? BBC South Today phoned this morning to set up a live interview Fixed Link debate in Cowes at 18.30hrs tonight. Present would be either myself or Thomas Cowley, David Henshaw (against) and perhaps some others.

So, all is arranged with the participants and guess what?

The BBC can’t get on to the island with their “Live Bus” because all the ferries are full! All three routes!

So it’s now had to be changed to a pre-recorded edited version whereby reporter and cameraman come via Red Jet.

Don’t forget to watch South Today tonight from 6.30pm.
