On Sunday and Monday escape the soaring heat by cooling down in leafy St Lawrence at The Bunker and Binnel Studios.
Both venues have their doors open to visitors, as eight established and acclaimed Isle of Wight artists showcase their work.
The Bunker
Head for The Bunker in Old Park Road where Isle of Wight artist Lisa Traxler tours her new sculptures and wall-based works to this unique coastal pop-up gallery space alongside her working studio.
This decommissioned WWII radar bunker plays host between 11am to 4pm on Sunday and Monday. See Lisa’s feature for more information.
Binnel Studios
Once you’ve finished at The Bunker, make your way further along Old Park Road into the leafy depths of St Lawrence to discover Binnel Studios, where you’ll find work by seven talented and highly-accomplished artists.
This year’s event is a great opportunity to meet the latest artist to join Binnel Studios – contemporary wildlife and animal artist, Jacob Light – as well as see new work by the resident artists; Molly Attrill, Matthew Chambers, Jane Cox, Sue Paraskeva, Amanda Wheeler and Celia Wilkinson.
Also open between 11am and 4pm on Sunday and Monday, there’s still plenty of time to catch the Binnel Studios Summer Exhibition and pick up a great piece of pottery, paintings, prints and more.
