Brave Island Christmas card competition returns for young Isle of Wight artists

The Brave Island Christmas card competition is back, offering young Islanders (14 to 25-years-old) a chance to showcase their creativity and support a local cause.

This year, organisers are looking for a special design to be featured on an A6-sized Christmas card, which will be sold across the Isle of Wight and online.

Opportunity for young artists to shine
The winning design can be either landscape or portrait and should celebrate the spirit of Christmas.

Organisers are particularly keen to see original, uplifting and inspiring designs that capture the festive season in a fresh way.

With the cards being sold widely, this is a great opportunity for budding or established artists to have their work seen by a large audience while supporting a good cause.

Supporting John Cattle’s Skate Club
Proceeds from the sale of the cards will go towards John Cattle’s Skate Club, a community organisation offering skateboarding lessons and support for young people on the Island.

By entering, participants not only stand a chance to win but also contribute to a programme that fosters youth development and inclusivity.

Cash prize and how to enter
The chosen design will receive a £100 cash prize, making this competition even more enticing for creatives across the Island.

To enter, participants are asked to submit their design alongside a brief explanation of why they want to take part. C.losing date is 30th October 2024.

The Brave Island Christmas card competition is a fantastic way to get involved in the community this holiday season, so get your designs ready and take part!
