Bridgefest Community Festival: Beating the autumn blues

Don’t forget that Wootton Bridge is set to beat the autumn blues with a special one off community festival on Saturday.

With over twelve hours of entertainment spread across five venues there is something for everyone at Bridgefest.

Something to be cheery about
Filling a void left by the loss to Covid-19 of other events such as Party in the Park and Beer and Buses, Bridgefest aims to give locals something to be cheery about at the end of another difficult summer season on the Island.

The five venues of Briddlesford Farm – Bluebell Cafe, The Cedars, The Sloop, The Woodman’s Arms and Wootton Bridge Community Centre will be offering a mix of food, drink, music and other entertainment starting with breakfast and ending with late night music.

Shuttle bus service
A shuttle bus service will operate between the venues, although unlike Beer and Buses you will need to have purchased a programme to be able to use it.

Priority bus tickets are also available and allow priority boarding, a good idea if you want a seat given the expected demand.

Pitcher: Giving our local venues a fillip
Festival organizer Daryll Pitcher said,

“This is about giving our local venues a fillip at the end of a very challenging period for them.

“It is also about giving the people of Wootton Bridge and others further afield the chance to let their hair down for the first time in a long time.”

Programmes and Priority Bus Tickets are available from the participating venues.
