As we mentioned earlier, Ryde Illuminated Carnival is being held this coming Saturday (3rd September).
As you’d expect, there’ll be bus diversions during the evening (details on general road closures to follow later) between 8.15pm and 11.20pm, we’re told.
Southern Vectis have been in touch to provide details of all bus diversions.
Whilst the procession is taking place, all bus services will terminate at Queens Road and a Shuttle Bus will operate between Queens Road and the Bus Station.
Bus diversions
Diversion for Route 4 towards Ryde is Binstead Road, Pellhurst Road, left into Argyll Street, left into West Street, left into Queens Road, and passengers then switch to shuttle bus to Ryde Esplanade.
Diversion for Route 9 towards Ryde is Binstead Road, Pellhurst Road, left into Argyll Street, left into West Street, left into Queens Road, and passengers then switch to shuttle bus to Ryde Esplanade.
Diversion for Route 3, 8 and Island Coaster towards Ryde is St Johns Hill, St Johns Road, and Green Street, right into West Street, left into Queens Road, and and passengers then switch to shuttle bus to Ryde Esplanade.
The Downs Breezer will divert at 17:15 from Alexandra Road left into St Johns Hill, St Johns Road, right into Bennett Street, left into Park Road, right into Dover Street, left onto the Esplanade
