As you’ll have guessed for the take-over of VentnorBlog this week, the Garlic Festival takes place this coming weekend.
If you wish to take the bus to the festival, Southern Vectis advise customers use either Route 8 or The Downs Breezer.
The following diversions will be in place between 8am 7pm on both days.
Newport bound Route 8 journeys will operate from line of route Forest Road, left into Winford Road to the A3056 at Branstone Cross right into Newport Road.
Look out for temporary stops
Temporary stops will be situated near the junction of Hale Common and Watery Lane.
The bus stop in Watery Lane, outside Amazon World will be closed between 8am and 7pm both days while the one way diversion is in process.
Coaches will operate an hourly service between Newport and Sandown to the Festival site from 10am until 6.30pm.
Southern Vectis are offering a £5 special return ticket to the Garlic Festival from any Island destination – this includes the Downs Breezer.
