For all of you home brewers of beer or wine, how about learning to make some cheese to go with your home brew?
Ruth Goodman, one of the ‘hands-on historians’ who joined the BBC’s 2006 Welsh hill-farm re-enactment, leads a day workshop to show you how it used to be done – and still can be done!
The long tradition of farmhouse cheese-making can be continued by anyone with interest and patience. During this practical day participants will use a hand-churn to make butter, learn the process of making soft and hard cheeses and explore vegetarian forms of rennet for curdling the milk.
Saturday 21st April, 9.30pm to 4.30pm
Tickets: £68.
Location: Aldermoor Farm, Upton Road, Ryde
