Rumours have been circulating on social media that the British Prime Minister, David Cameron or the Secretary of Defence, Philip Hammond will be making a trip to the Isle of Wight today.
OnTheWight got in touch with the council to see whether there’s any truth to these rumours.
The council deny any knowledge of a ministerial visit. Given they’d be the first to know, we reckon the rumour can be safely quashed.
