The Isle of Wight Council would like to congratulate all students across the Island receiving their A-level and post-16 qualification results today.
This year’s results reflect the hard work, determination and resilience shown by young people throughout their studies. They are also a testament to the dedication and commitment of teachers, support staff, school leaders, college staff, parents, carers and families who have supported students every step of the way.
Whether students are progressing to university, apprenticeships, employment, further training or exploring alternative pathways, today marks an important milestone and the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Ashley Whittaker Strategic Director for Children’s Services, said,
“I would personally like to extend my congratulations to every student receiving their results today.
“Achieving qualifications requires commitment, perseverance and hard work, and all young people should be extremely proud of what they have accomplished.”
He continues,
“I would also like to thank our schools, colleges, teachers, support staff, parents and carers for the vital role they play in helping young people succeed.
“Whatever the results may be, there are many opportunities available and a range of pathways to help young people achieve their ambitions. We wish all our students every success in the future.”
Freeman: Today is a day to celebrate
Councillor Ros Freeman, Chair of the Isle of Wight Council’s Children and Young People’s Committee, said,
“Today is a day to celebrate the achievements of our young people. Across the Island, students have demonstrated determination and resilience, and they deserve recognition for their efforts.
“These results represent not just academic achievement, but the personal growth and dedication shown throughout their education.
“We are incredibly proud of all our young people and thank the teaching staff, families and wider communities who have supported them. I wish every student the very best as they take their next steps, wherever their journey leads.”
