Another day, another Island media story.
Looks like there are changes afoot at the County Press.
Josh Halliday, who runs the excellent SR2 Hyperlocal site, pointed out that an Isle of Wight publication was looking to hire a sub-editor – he wondered if it was VB. Not us guv.
The County Press are advertising for a Sub-Editor (what a sub does) on the Website, HoldTheFrontPage.
They describe themselves as “one of Britain’s most successful weekly newspapers,” which from what we’ve seen from their publicly filed accounts is true – they’re making quite a pile of cash from advertising in the newspaper, and probably some from sales of the paper.
We’ve asked around a little and it appears that it’s not a new role, but one of the subs, George, is planning to leave, so needs replacing.
