Cowes Week Ltd has officially opened entries for the 2025 Regatta, marking the 199th edition of the world’s largest annual keelboat racing event.
Sailors and spectators alike can look forward to an exciting summer on the Solent, with the regatta kicking off on Saturday 2nd August.
Flexible entry options
Competitors have several entry options to choose from, starting with the Super Early Bird rate available until Sunday 16th February. After this, the Early Bird entry remains open until Sunday 4th May, followed by Standard Entry closing on Sunday 20th July.
For those making last-minute plans, entries will remain open until the eve of the regatta. Both regatta-long and daily entries are available, with full details outlined in the official Notice of Race, which is accessible online.
Racing tradition continues
The iconic format of Cowes Week has seen steady evolution in recent years, with a focus on starts from the renowned Royal Yacht Squadron line. The rolling five-minute start sequence will return in 2025, offering sailors the unique challenge of one of the most famous yacht racing start lines in the world.
Describing the exhilarating experience, organisers highlight the historical significance and competitive edge that the start line brings, making it a memorable highlight for participants.
