Three candidates have put themselves forward for the Shanklin town council seat that became vacant after former leader of the council, David Pugh, resigned from the town council following the May local elections.
Residents must choose between former Indie councillor for Havenstreet, Ashey and Haylands, Vanessa Churchman; former BNP candidate Geoff Clynch, who this time is standing under the banner of People Before Politics’; or Sonja Ward, who has not named any political affiliation.
Candidates have until noon on Wednesday 12th June 2013 to withdraw.
The election will take place on 4th July.
