We know that there’s been a few mixups of late between the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man.
Well another one popped up today on the Daily Telegraph Website.
With the passing of the National Treasure that was Norman Wisdom, the papers are full of articles about his life and work.
One of these covered the, “comedian’s best quotes” in The Telegraph and featured a photo at the top of him with HM Queen.
The caption underneath says “HRH the Queen meets Sir Norman Wisdom after the state opening of Isle of Wight Parliament.”
Oooo … we are going up in the World. First there’s talk of the Island having two MPs – now we’re going to have our own Parliament!
Do you have memories of Norman Wisdom?
When we posted last night than Norman Wisdom had passed, we learnt from Suzie Sumpter that he’d played on the Island in years gone past.
Made us think we’d try and compile some of your memories of his visits here.
On the off-chance that you went to his shows, or met him while he was over – would you mind dropping us a little note about it and we’ll try to do a piece on it.
By way of a reminder, here’s a little bit of video about him
