This coming Saturday, the Isle of Wight council is allowing residents and visitors to park free of charge as part of an initiative aimed at boosting local businesses.
Councils across the country will be taking part in Small Business Saturday (also known as Shop Local Saturday) and trying to encourage people to shop in town and village centres on what is traditionally the busiest shopping day before Christmas.
Please be aware that although you can park for free in council-run car parks across the Island, the offer doesn’t apply to privately-run car parks or on-street parking in town and village centres.
