Storytelling workshop
On Wednesday 25 March between 9am and 12.30pm, Sally Pomme is running a free workshop for anyone who wants to explore the creative process of telling a story. The workshop will explore the skills of listening and telling to give confidence and put book down and enjoy telling the story.

The workshop is suitable for adults and you need to bring a short story to work with.

To book place in advance phone the library on 852039.

“World of Stories”
On the evening of Thursday 26 March at 7pm, Sally Pomme will perform “World of Stories”. This is a storytelling performance for adults where she will tell fairytales, romances, and fragments of forgotten myths for grown-ups.

The evening will be filled with mysterious, funny, wild, and richly metaphorical stories drawn from all over the world. She uses poetic language, playful humour, startling imagery and some unusual musical instruments to uplift the listener and ignite their imagination.

To book on either of these events, call the library on 852039.

Share your stories
Finally on Friday 27 March, Sally Pomme will be at Ventnor Library from 10am to 12.30pm to share and collect your stories.

If you have any kind of story, such as a memory or perhaps a ghost story, or a bit of local history that you think Sally Pomme might be interested in, come along and have a chat.

All events are free and her visit is being funded by the Arts Council England and a donation from the Friends of Ventnor Library.
