Man filling up car at petrol station

E5: Isle of Wight petrol stations that are still selling it listed (Updated)

Last updated:

With petrol stations changing ‘normal’ petrol from E5 to E10 (read up on what this is about), it’s estimated by the government that 600,000 – 800,000 cars across the country will still need to be using E5 petrol.

(Information updated: 17 Jul 2024)

Given the large number of older and classic cars on the Isle of Wight, News OnTheWight has been researching which Island petrol stations will still be selling E5 fuel.

Around half still selling E5
Of the seventeen petrol stations that we could identify, just about half will be selling a form of E5 petrol, but these are likely to be ‘Super’ or ‘Supreme’ types.

We’ve gathered all of the information into the table below, to help you or those you know who have older cars continue to fill up their cars.

The information in the table has been gathered from contacting the national press offices of the larger organisations and by us bashing the phones and calling Island petrol stations. We’re accurately reflecting what we’ve been told, but if you have found anything different, please do get in touch to let us know.
