East Wight Primary sets dates for Town Hall Q&A ahead of the General Election

East Wight Primary have announced dates for their six Town Hall Q&A sessions being held next month (March), ahead of a General Election later in the year.

The East Wight Primary initiative was set up to provide “a fair way to choose one progressive candidate to unite behind at the next general election” in East Wight.

The People’s Choice
At the end of each Town Hall Q&A, voters say (in private) who they believe is the best progressive candidate to beat the Conservative candidate, Joe Robertson.

At the end of the Town Hall Q&A sessions, whichever candidate has the most votes is named the People’s Choice.

Invite others
The success of the project depends on filling the venues on the dates below to ensure as many voters from each area attends.

The team are hoping to encourage those who are not already politically-engaged to attend.

If you know someone who hasn’t voted before, or has told you they won’t be voting in the General Election, share details of these events with them.
