All day Friday this week (from 9.30am until 8.30pm), fingers will be busy at the Ventnor Baptist church hall.
A community event to make Christmas bunting for Ventnor is hoping to ensure that the town will sparkle over the festive season.
Abigail Rendell says that over 100 meters have been made so far, but there are still 600 meters to go.
There will be a limited number of sewing machines available, so feel free to take your own and if you can’t sew, then fear not as they also need people to cut out bunting shapes too.
Abigail also asks for those taking part to take along their own pinking shears/scissors if poss as available fabric scissors will be very limited.
You’re not expected to stay the entire day, just to pop in when you can.
If you have any festive coloured fabrics you can donate (new or old) in cottons or poly cottons that would be appreciated too.
If you plan to take part, have fun. Your efforts will be greatly appreciated later this year when VentnorVille welcomes hundreds of visitors for a day of Christmas shopping, entertainment and community spirit on 13th December.
