‘Fireworks with Mountbatten’ to light up Robin Hill Adventure Park in November

Get ready for a spectacular and sparkling night for all the family, as Mountbatten Isle of Wight proudly presents Fireworks with Mountbatten, supported by Isle of Wight Festival and in association with Isle of Wight Radio.

Expect a dazzling firework display for all ages, at Robin Hill Adventure Park (before it officially opens in 2025) on the outskirts of Newport, on Saturday, 9th November.

Tickets go on sale at 6.30pm today (Monday, 14th October) for this family fundraiser.

What to expect
Fabulous fireworks, a dazzling fire show, live entertainment and our exciting fundraising challenge, ZipFire, will all be there. We invite you to come dressed as sparkly as possible and armed with your glow-in-the-dark accessories, but don’t forget your scarf and gloves!

There will also be food and drink for sale, from a variety of stalls. Among them, Eazibar will be selling very special hot chocolates, to keep you warm as the temperatures drop.

Topping: It’s going to be a night full of fun
Fireworks with Mountbatten will be hosted by Paul Topping and the Isle of Wight Radio breakfast team.

Paul said,

“We are delighted to be partnering with Mountbatten Isle of Wight, bringing this fantastic firework event back for 2024.

“It’s going to be a night full of fun for all the family. We can’t wait to see you all there.”

Gates open at 4pm, with fireworks from 7.30pm.

Throughout the night, above our heads, there will be a thrilling 150-metre zip line. Over 60 pre-booked fundraisers will soar across the sky as part of Zipfire, which is sponsored by Wight Fire and Security.

This sold-out challenge looks set to be exhilarating (there will soon be the chance to register your interest for a future event).

Giddings: We sold out in just 90 minutes last year
Isle of Wight Festival organiser John Giddings, who is kindly sponsoring the fireworks, said,

“We sold out in just 90 minutes last year, so people will have to be quick if they want to join us!

“We’re really excited to be teaming up once again, in aid of this wonderful cause.

“It’s going to be another great night.”

Priddle: We look forward to seeing you all
Robin Hill CEO, Lee Priddle, said,

“We are thrilled to be able to provide the venue for such a great cause and look forward to seeing you all at what promises to be a brilliant night!”

Mountbatten CEO, Nigel Hartley, MBE, said,

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring Fireworks with Mountbatten back and even more excited to do it at Robbin Hill, which is a brand-new venue for us.

“After last year’s inclement weather put a halt to our 2023 event, we can’t wait to deliver a fun-filled evening of fireworks and family entertainment.

“We invite you to come out in force to enjoy the evening and support Mountbatten.

“Every ticket sold will help us continue to make a difference to Islanders in need of specialist palliative and end-of-life care and support, which Mountbatten delivers 24/7 in patients’ homes and in our hospice in Newport, alongside services including bereavement support.
