Hovertravel is offering visitors a free opportunity to see how it has developed its facilities to provide even greater accessibility.
On Thursday 5th May guests will be given a guided tour of the terminal and hovercraft and meet the staff, crew and pilots whilst being hosted by the HoverCare Leaders.
New additions
Recent specific additions to the HoverCare facilities include the construction of a Changing Places toilet in both terminals plus an additional accessible toilet in each terminal too.
The exit to the pad at Southsea has been widened with the addition of an extra handrail and there are designated seating areas both in the terminal and onboard.
Gain an insight for any future visits
These successful Try Before You Fly events are designed to help past, present and potential customers get the best insight for any future visits and Hovertravel is encouraging visitors to bring their friends and family along too, to try out the hovercraft access and learn about their HoverCare services.
Chapman: Share experiences so we can further enhance our services
Neil Chapman, managing director at Hovertravel, adds,
“Our terminals and hovercraft will be welcoming visitors at both Ryde on the Isle of Wight and Southsea in Portsmouth. It is also a great opportunity for guests to share their experiences with our staff so we can further enhance our services, ensuring we are helping all to travel more easily.
“We recognise our HoverCare services should be constantly evolving and events such as this allow us to better understand the needs of all customers as we encourage visitors to ask whatever questions they wish. Our Try Before You Fly events are open to anyone whom might want to chat to us about accessibility.”
The Try Before You Fly event is on Thursday 5th May as follows; at Ryde from 1000 to 1100 and at Southsea 1130 to 1230.
As there is no charge for visitors and space is limited, please register each person attending online on our Website.
