Following its successful first full year, Friends of Ventnor Library (FVL) have published a 2013 Calendar featuring 52 brilliant, high-quality photographs celebrating Ventnor’s past and present maritime scene.
Almost all the photos were taken by local photographer Daphne Carter over the past 25 years, and have come from extensive archives donated to Ventnor Library, who have kindly arranged permission for their publication.
The Friends are also most appreciative of page by page advertising from 48 local businesses.
Plans for children’s library
This is really a calendar with a difference, and every penny from sales at £4.99 each will be used to enhance the range and quality of what Ventnor Library can provide.
Our next target is to make a big improvement in the Children’s Library.

The Calendar is available from the Library and from various Ventnor shops including Seasons and the Post Office who have all generously waived all commission.
