From Moon landings to space-faring civilisation: Join the Vectis Astronomy Talk this month

The next Vectis Astronomical Society talk explores the incredible achievements of the post-Moon era.

Presented by Neil Phillipson, Mankind’s Next Giant Leap takes place on Friday 27th September 2024 at 7.30pm at Newchurch Pavilion, Watery Lane, Newchurch (nearest postcode: PO36 0LX).

This shows how the vast body of work the scientific community has done since the Moon landings has led us to the moment when we shall, at last, become a space-faring civilisation, ready to explore and colonise the Solar System and beyond – bringing vast benefits to Earth and transforming society for the better.

Neil Phillipson presents a bold vision of a better future – one in which innovation and progress flourish while war, poverty, illness and hunger are relegated to history. A brain-busting, awe-inspiring shot of humankind’s true potential – delivered in one hour!
