In response to the Kurt Jackson exhibition, pupils from St Catherine’s School, along with artist Christopher Jenkins will be creating a collaborative installation based on the Island’s south coast shores.
The installation will attempt to identify and communicate relationships to the shore, as well as represent the physical journey of assemblage.
This photographic exhibition originated from an installation of inflated beach goods, for FreeQuay Exhibition at Quay Arts in 2007.
The photographs were taken during the inflation process, by Isle of Wight artist Janice Thwaites, and Tim Collard, a recent graduate from Swansea.
The images were taken, not only for the abstract forms the inflated pieces produced, but also the extraordinary effect of light.
