Next Sunday (July 30th) will see the Isle of Wight’s largest Electric Vehicle and Green Technology Show return to the IW College. After the highly successful inaugural event in 2022 which saw almost 1,000 people attend, it promises to be even bigger and better.
Free to attend and free to park
40 exhibition and display stands provide information on everything from the latest EVs and EV charging to renewable energy, Ebikes and motorbikes, marine innovations, green home ideas, an EV Driving School and a full day of fascinating talks at this unmissable event. The event is open from 10am – 4pm, and it’s free to attend and park.
The Island’s leading dealers
This year is even bigger with many more EV models on display from the Island’s leading main dealers including Leslies Motor Group, Esplanade, Premier Motors, Central Garage, Snows, Harwoods and Nixon Automotive who’ll be showcasing the latest from Ford, MG, Kia, Suzuki, Toyota, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz, VW, Volvo, Citroen, BMW, Mini, Renault, MEV and more including light commercial vehicles. Making it the biggest car show on the Island.
You can also chat to leading EV Driving School EVO Driver Training, and a speciality used-EV dealer Forecourt-E.
Dedicated E-bikes
The dedicated E-bikes zone provides the perfect opportunity to see the latest in E-bikes and talk to experts from WightBike, Isle Access, Keert and Cyclewight. The 500m test area provides the chance to jump on and try an E-bike for yourself.
Island Mobility
Plus – new this year – will be the latest in electric Powered Scooter and Motorcycles showcased by Rookley based My Collectable Shop.
This year mobility independent specialists Island Mobility will be on hand with the latest and very best in mobility scooters together with charity Isle Access and their fleet of adapted cycles.
‘Meet the Owner’
Another popular area will once again be ‘Meet the Owner’ sponsored by PC Consultants. This is a great opportunity to meet EV owners with their cars, and ask questions about their day-to-day use of EV’s, how they fit into their lives, and about what’s important to you in terms of vehicle selection, range, charging, running costs and more.
Experts will be on hand
You can find out more about the latest in EV Charge Points for home and business from Green Mile and EV Express. And experts will be on hand from Vehicle Consulting to discuss every aspect of integrating EV’s into businesses, salary sacrifice schemes and leasing.
Together for Mission Zero, Future Isle of Wight and Mission Zero Business Hub are at the event to discuss any aspect the Island’s plans for a greener future, all the way from accessing grants and upgrading homes, to creating sustainable communities and driving green business.
Renewable energy
Innovation in design will be led by engineering specialists MedTec and solar tracking system company Bee Solar Tech together with solar and renewable energy specialists Engenius and Island Renewables.
Marine services
New for 2023 will be Richardson’s Yacht Services and Cunninghams Marine displaying the best in electric outboards, solar and hybrid marine technologies.
