Electric Bike

Electric bikes, or electric mountain bikes (E-MTBs), are a perfect match for the Isle of Wight’s miles of pathways that criss-cross the Island.

If you haven’t tried one, you really should, they give you a variable amount of assistance when you want it – say up a steep hill. As you become more fit, you can choose to reduce the power they provide.

Conversely, if you are an experienced cyclist, you can use the power-assistance to take you to places you couldn’t reach by pedal power alone.

There are companies on the Isle of Wight that sell electric bikes, others that rent them and yet others too who run guided rides across the Island on them.
