Kids Cafe in Sandown High Street has been open for less than a month and is already attracting a lot of attention. And rightly so.
The cafe has been set up and being run by Daisy Chains IW, a local Isle of Wight charity that supports Island children with long-term health problems, serious life-limiting conditions and disabilities.
As you can see from the photos below (thanks Jake) what they’ve created is a fun, colourful place where young children and their families can visit while relaxing in a safe, enjoyable environment.
Soft play and toy area
There’s a fantastic soft play and toy area located to the rear of the cafe for the under fives. Designed with safety at the forefront, the area has multi-coloured soft foam bricks and a ball pool pit.
It also boasts train sets, chalkboards, colouring-in and Duplo as well as a whole host of other popular toys.
Being a cafe, as you’d expect, there’s a range of food and drinks on offer.

Kids Cafe on Sandown High Street is open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm.
Three years and counting
The charity, which has just celebrated its third birthday, also helps eligible families meet the cost of travel to and from mainland hospitals to access medical treatment, therapy and care, including premature babies who are transferred off the Island.
In addition, it raises money to purchase specialist aids and equipment that are not available on the NHS to help children progress and make their lives more comfortable.
