Do you live on the Isle of Wight, care deeply about wildlife and want to do something practical to support your local environment?
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust (HIWWT) is offering several hands-on volunteering roles across the Island right now.
Volunteering opportunities available
The current opportunities include:
- Reserves roaming warden volunteer
- Reserves volunteer
- Himalayan balsam basher volunteer
Each role involves spending time in nature, helping to protect and restore habitats that are vital for local wildlife.
What you’ll gain from volunteering
As a volunteer, you’ll make a real difference to the Island’s natural spaces and the species that depend on them.
You’ll learn new skills, gain experience in conservation, and spend time outdoors in some of the Island’s most beautiful locations.
There’s also a strong sense of community. Volunteers often meet like-minded people and find themselves part of a friendly, supportive network.
