Hovertravel to run extra crossings for Walk The Wight

Extra flights in the morning to help walkers from the mainland arrive in time.

Hovertravel will be providing extra crossings on Sunday to accommodate the increase in passengers heading to and from the Isle of Wight for the annual Walk the Wight event.

Thousands of people have signed up to take part in the walk and raise money and awareness for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.

Extra crossings will be operating from:

Southsea
0630 0700 0730 0830

Ryde
0615 0645 0715 0815

    Just to let avid walkers of the Island know, The IOW now has it’s own official branch of the Long Distance Walkers Association. No website for the branch yet, but the national one is http://www.ldwa.org.uk but you can also follow the IOW branch on twitter @iowldwa
